About Abbey

Abbey Credit Union was built on the simple idea that people take better care of each other when they’re working together, not for profit, but for purpose. Founded in 1937 as “The Inland Employees Credit Union,” we got our start serving the employees and families of Inland Division of General Motors. What began as a few determined individuals around a conference table has grown into a trusted financial partner with branches in Vandalia, Troy, Tipp City, and West Milton. Some of our original members and their families are still with us today, and we’re proud to carry their legacy forward.

While a lot has changed, one thing hasn’t: we believe banking should be personal, purposeful, and yes, even a little fun. We’re serious about your goals, whether it’s buying a first home, building credit, or setting up that emergency fund. But we’re also the credit union that remembers your name, celebrates your milestones, and shows up at the local events. Abbey Credit Union is here for you, rooted in history, focused on your future, and always cheering you on.

Abbey's Vision

Uniting members through old-fashioned community values; Abbey strives to earn trust from our members by professionally maintaining a leading-edge in technology and offering competitive financial institution services.
