Important Notice About "Phishing"

ATTENTION: You may have received a bogus e-mail mimicking an e-mail from Abbey Credit Union, Inc. This e-mail asks members to take a brief survey. When you click on the link in the e-mail it takes you to a site that looks like Abbey Credit Union's website and asks for personal account information as well as Visa/Debit card information.

ABBEY CREDIT UNION DID NOT SEND ANY E-MAILS DIRECTLY TO OUR CARDHOLDERS AND DOES NOT HAVE CARDHOLDER DATA. IF YOU RECEIVE THIS E-MAIL, DO NOT RESPOND!

Please know that Abbey Credit Union will never e-mail or call you requesting that you verify your account number(s) or personal information.

British Bank Phishing Scam

We have become aware of a scam on a British bank that has a name very similar to ours - Abbey Bank in London, England. We received the following email scam. If you receive this email, do not respond to it. It is not from Abbey Credit Union or Abbey Bank. It is a fraudulent attempt to get personal banking information.

Remember - Abbey Credit Union will never send you an email requesting personal information.

Following is the text of the fraudulent email:

Subject: Security Alert !!!

Dear Valued Customer,

Abbey Bank has been receiving complaints from our customers for unauthorized use of the Abbey Online Banking accounts. As a result we are making an extra security check on all of our Customers account in order to protect their information from theft and fraud.

Due to this, you are requested to follow the provided steps and confirm your
Online Banking details for the safety of your Accounts.

However, Failure to do so may result in temporary account suspension. Please understand that this is a security measure intended to help protect you and your account. We apologize for any inconvenience.
