Vacation Planning Websites
Here is a quick pick of some vacation planning websites that we think could be helpful to you:
Staying Close to Home. Ohio and its neighboring states have some great state parks. Here are links to their park websites where you can plan a trip and make reservations.
New Waterpark Resorts. This is a new breed of destination and here are links to some you (and your kids) might enjoy:
- Great Wolf Lodge. They have two locations in Ohio, plus several others within a day's drive of Dayton.
- Fort Rapids. This Columbus attraction features a Wild West theme.
- Castaway Bay. At Cedar Point, in Sandusky.
Best Beaches. Looking for an oceaside getaway? These websites might help you find the perfect patch of sand.
- Dr. Beach. Stephen Leatherman, AKA "Dr. Beach," puts out an annual Top 10 list of his favorite beaches.
- Forbes Magazines Best Beaches List. Forbes Magazine is famous for it's lists. This link will take you to their extensive list of the world's best beaches.
- Ohio Beaches. Hey! Ohio has beaches too, don't forget. Here's a list of beaches near Cleveland on Lake Erie compiled by About.com.
Cruises Want to get away from it all, be pampered 24 hours a day, seven days a week? There's nothing like a cruise vacation if that's your vacation ideal.
- Forbes Most Expensive Cruises. Take a deep breath. They top out at $113,000 for a private yacht cruise.
- List of Cruise Companies. Wikipedia has a handy list of the major cruise companies. Keep in mind that Wikipedia is written by its users, so be sure to verify what you read there.
RVing. Ready to take your home on the road? The folks at GoRVing.com have everything you need to get started. And the folks at Abbey Credit Union have the loans to make your dreams a reality.
