Why do we call our customers "members"? It's because they are. Abbey Credit Union is owned by people just like you - your friends and neighbors in the community. Because of that, Abbey has a focus on meeting your needs and the needs of our community.

But not everyone can join Abbey Credit Union. In order to become a member, you must meet one of these qualifications:

You must live, works, worships or attends school in Vandalia, Butler Township or Miami County.
You can also become a member if you work for one of our Select Groups as full-time, part-time or a retiree. Select Groups are companies and organizations who have decided to offer possible membership in Abbey Credit Union as a benefit to their employees. To see a complete list of Select Groups, click here.
If you have a relative who is a member, you are also eligible for membership.

Abbey Credit Union was organized in 1937 and is a nonprofit financial organization. Abbey's goal is to help people help each other by promoting thrift through convenient systematic savings plans and providing quick sources of credit.More than 100 organizations make Abbey Credit Union available to their employees at no cost to their organization.
